India at Independence -
The British Legacy
When the British left India, the country was in a state of disrepair. The economy had taken a major hit, agriculture was struggling, and years of colonial rule had led to famines, hardship, and large-scale exploitation.
At Knownsense Design Studio, I worked on an exhibit that explores this period through a mix of real stories and documentary-style films. It is part of a permanent installation at the Pradhanmantri Sangrahalaya in Delhi, reflecting on this moment in history.
The exhibit combines two forms of content: static graphic panels and large live-action films projected across the walls. I worked on the creative direction, research, storyboarding, and designed the main wall graphics that shaped the overall visual experience.
